Privacy Policy
Pangisha is a rental property management system, on the web and in a mobile app, run by PANGISHA COMPANY LIMITED ("Pangisha", "we"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We follow Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022.
Effective: 11 October 2026What we collect
- Landlords and property managers: name, phone number, email, ID type and number, photo, signature, company logo, and property details (estates, buildings, units).
- Tenants (entered by the landlord or by the tenant): name, phone, WhatsApp, email, ID, next of kin, photo, leases, bills, payments, and the faults they report.
- Financial records: bills, payments, credit and debit notes, and payment references users type in (such as a mobile money transaction code). We do not collect or store card numbers.
- Files: photos and PDFs you upload (contracts, receipts, attachments). The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo.
- Device: a push-notification token, and app error reports (device model, system version and error details) so we can fix problems. We do not collect your location.
How we use it
- To run the service: leases, bills, payments, reports and notices for landlords and tenants.
- To send SMS, WhatsApp, email and app notifications (such as a new bill, a receipt or a reminder), with the tenant's consent where it is required.
- To give support, fix errors, keep accounts secure, and meet legal duties.
We do not sell your data, and there are no ads in Pangisha.
Who sees it
- A company's data is visible only to that company's users: the landlord and the managers the landlord allows. A tenant sees only their own records.
- Service providers that help us run the system: our SMS and WhatsApp provider, Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), email service, hosting servers, Google Firebase for app notifications, and Google Gemini for replies on our sales number. They receive only what that job needs.
- Legal authorities, only where the law requires it.
Messages to our sales number
- When you message our WhatsApp sales number, +255 651 675 511, we receive through Meta your phone number, your WhatsApp name and the messages you send.
- First replies are drafted by an automated assistant (AI) that uses Google Gemini. The text of the conversation is sent to Google only to prepare a reply.
- We keep the conversation as a sales enquiry so that one of our sales officers can call you. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
- If you want us to stop contacting you, or to delete the conversation, tell us on the same number or at msaada@pangisha.co.tz.
How long we keep it
We keep data while the account is active. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days. Financial records (bills, payments, receipts) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and each company's data is kept separate from every other company's within the system.
Your rights
You may see, correct or delete your data, and refuse SMS. You can edit your profile in the app, turn SMS off, and close your account (see the last section). For any other request, contact us.
Children
Pangisha is for people aged 18 or over.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date and tell users about major changes.
Closing your account
- Landlord or property manager: in the app open Menu → My profile → Close my account, give a reason and your password, then confirm.
- Tenant: in the app open Profile → Delete Account, then confirm.
- Without the app: send a request to msaada@pangisha.co.tz or WhatsApp +255 657 999 441 from your registered phone number. We confirm it is you before closing the account.
- What happens: the login closes at once; a landlord's company data is deleted within 30 days; financial records are kept for as long as the law requires; a tenant's lease records stay with their landlord.
